Refunds or Store Credits on TenpinResults
Please be advised that with various events unable to operate due to government restrictions, TenpinResults is offering all promoters the option of offering bowlers a "Store Credit" to be used on our platform. Doing this allows bowlers to receive 100% of the value of their original spend without the promoters being out of pocket.
Be assured the funds for these credits are held in a dedicated TenpinResults account where they are available for immediate use (covid permitting!). We will also soon be adding a button to allow you to "Cash Out" your credit (note: for online entry refunds this will come with a fee equivalent to the promoters offering 97% refunds).
Here at TenpinResults we've been getting some questions about refunds, store credits, and the perception that TBA is 'forcing events to use its platform', so please, allow us a moment to explain how this works and what your options are
Firstly, we offer an online entries platform for events to accept entries and payments online, and this is nothing to do with TBA. Event promoters are choosing to use this platform because it makes it much easier to run their event (and remember many are volunteers).
Secondly, it isn't free. TenpinResults charges the promoter 3% ($2 minimum) to use the platform, and this 3% is used to pay direct costs (gateway fees) as well as maintenance and development of the platform. This 3% is why some promoters are offering refunds only minus the 3% or as store credit back into the TenpinResults platform. If your promoter is offering you a full refund directly, they are wearing a 3% loss to do it.
All funds processed through TenpinResults are stored in a dedicated account until they are settled to the promoters. Most promoters see settlements every week, some choose not to settle until just before the event. Your "store credit" is stored in this dedicated account, and is always available to use on your next cart.
Stay safe everyone, and check your relevant government guidelines for lockdowns, shutdowns, mask requirements, etc.
